The Hogwarts Express pulled into HBO Max on June 1, 2021, so you can stream all eight of the original movies on the platform right now.You'll have to plan your marathon accordingly, though, because the train will only be stationed on HBO Max until June 30. Meaning, yes, the movies are leaving the streaming service just a month after they arrived. Eventually, the movies will apparate back onto HBO Max—since they are Warner Bros. properties and HBO Max is a product of WarnerMedia—but it's unclear when that'll be next.

Even though the movies are currently streaming on HBO Max, you can also watch them on NBCUniversal's streaming service Peacock. Because of a deal that dates back to 2016 (pre-HBO Max's existence), NBCUniversal has the TV and digital rights to the films until 2025. So, that's why the Warner Bros. films will appear on Peacock, as well as HBO Max, from time to time before they're housed on the WarnerMedia platform in a few years.
Potter-Heads who don't have an HBO Max subscription will be happy to know that you can stream the first three movies—Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, and Prisoner of Azkaban—totally free on Peacock, since it's an ad-supported platform. You will need to sign up for what's called a basic subscription, though, which you can do here now. (You actually might already be eligible for an account based on your cable provider since the platform has deals with Xfinity and Cox). If you've seen those first three films more times than you can count and want to binge all eight movies, that's when you'll have to opt into the Peacock Premium plan, which is $4.99 per month and still supported by ads.
