PurpleRestore is a tool made by Apple and is used for flashing iDevices. It provides far more customization than iTunes, and is known to be used to flash internal firmware to prototypes. Little is currently known about which versions it 'supports' for restoring as such. This tool helps transfer data like contacts, photos, videos, etc. From iTunes/computer to your phone or the other way around. Deleted files or photos are not really gone in most cases. You need a dedicated iOS/Android recovery tool like Dr.Fone to find them back from phone disk, SD card, iTunes, or iCloud.
iPhone can be flashed using official tool i.e iTunes.

How to use iTunes:
1- Install iTunes & Connect phone in DFU or Recovery mode.
2- If you own a High-speed internet then you can click on Restore Firmware as it takes time.
Another approach is to download file into the System and press Shift on Keyboard and Hit Restore Firmware on the iTunes.
Now, you have to assign the path of the Firmware & Click on Open.
